Thank you for installing WidgetWeb.

First Step

First create the Administrator user. The first user created for a new installation is marked as an Administrator. At the top-right, you should see a "Register" link. Click this and fill in the user information. Save your changes. You will now be taken back to the front page of the site. Additionally, the top-left should now read "Welcome , Logout".

!!Important!! The first user created is marked as the site Administrator. Do not skip the previous step!

Change Defaults

Tip: Pages are represented as a hierarchy. The top level is a site. It contains one or more spaces - spaces contain one or more pages. Pages can have children pages. Each page contains components.

Once logged in as the Administrator, you can change the name of the site. Click the black triangle next to the gears logo. Fill in the name field.

Second, you may change the name of the default space. It may be less confusing to your visitors if the default space name is the same as the site.

Next, you may change the name of the default page of the default site. By default it is named Home.

Add Content

Click the black triangle next to the name of the page. This will list the actions for the page (including the edit menu used to the change the page name). Clicking "Add" will present the list of components that can be added to the current page. Choose "Text" and ensure the radio button next to "Blog Style (at top of document) is selected. Then click Save.

Next, click the newly added black triangle next to the words "No Text". Then click "Edit". A text area with "No Text" will be displayed. Replace "No Text" with "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Then click Save. The page should now show the words you typed.
